Updating Course For Officer In Charge Of An Engineering Watch

Scope :

  • This course is designed to comply with the requirements of Regulation III/2, Section A-III/2, Table A-III/2 International Convention for Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers, STCW / 78, as amended.

General objectives :

  • The participant having completed the course will be able to make a engineering watch in the engine room, taking into account the technological changes of the governing rules, national and international regulations concerning the safety of life at sea and the protection of the marine environment..

Prerequisites :

  • According to provisions of Regulation III/1, Section A‐III 1 of the International Convention for Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, STCW 1978 as amended, concerning the update and revalidation of titles for officers in charge of the engineering watch on board merchant vessels in international shipping.
